Julia Coutin, DVM, MS

Julia Coutin is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated high school in 2003 from the Academy of the Sacred Heart. She obtained her Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University in 2007, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2010, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Coutin continued her education and experience in veterinary medicine by completing a one year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Florida. Dr. Coutin completed both a small animal surgical residency and Master’s degree program at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She achieved Board Certification in 2015 from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (Diplomate ACVS-SA). She is thrilled to be co-founder of both Veterinary Specialists of Greater New Orleans and Capital Area Veterinary Specialists in Baton Rouge, and to be home near family and friends.
