Our team of Board-Certified Veterinary doctors partner with your primary care veterinarian to provide expert care with a compassionate edge. Our newly remodeled hospital, located on Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie, offers cutting-edge diagnostics and specialty services. Our hospital offers digital radiography, CT scan (computed tomography), ultrasound, cryotherapy, video otoscopy, allergy testing, full diagnostic blood work, and overnight care for hospitalized patients.
Our surgeons perform orthopedic, soft tissue, and neurologic surgery. Some of the specialized procedures include TPLO, TTA, fracture repair, tracheal stents, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, intervertebral disc surgery and reconstructive procedures. We also offer adjunctive services such as laser therapy, shock wave therapy, and ultrasound.
Our dermatology team specializes in allergic skin disease, adverse food reactions, infectious diseases of the skin, chronic or recurrent ear infections, diseases of the paw, pads, and nails, autoimmune disease, skin cancer, and more. Some of the services offered by our dermatologist include skin testing, skin biopsy, video otoscopy, deep ear flushing, allergen specific immunotherapy, cryotherapy, and tailored therapeutic protocols.
At our sister location in Baton Rouge, Capital Area Veterinary Specialists, we have a board-certified internist on staff who is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex diseases. These include the digestive system, kidneys, liver, lungs, spleen, and endocrine stems, as well as disorders of the blood, immune system, and infectious diseases. Some procedures our internist performs are endoscopy, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy, and ultrasounds.
