Our hospital is equipped with digital radiography, CT scan (computed tomography), ultrasound, comprehensive blood work, and 24-hour care for hospitalized patients.
Our surgeons perform orthopedic, soft tissue, and neurologic procedures, including TPLO, fracture repair, tracheal stents, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, intervertebral disc surgery, and more. We also offer adjunctive services such as laser therapy, shockwave therapy, PRP therapy and other non-surgical treatments, as part of our comprehensive care. Our dermatology team specializes in treating allergic skin diseases, food sensitivities, chronic ear infections, skin cancer, and other conditions, offering services such as skin testing, biopsies, deep ear flushing, and allergen-specific immunotherapy.
At our Baton Rouge location, Capital Area Veterinary Specialists, we’re excited to offer the addition of a board-certified internist, along with our team of specialists, to handle complex cases involving the digestive system, kidneys, liver, lungs, and more. Procedures include endoscopy, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy, and ultrasounds.
